Having been selling rods for a while now this was the first time I have had my own stand at a EWF fly-fishing fair. It was extremely stressful and I had many sleepless nights, but it was well worth the effort as my rods were very well received. I was especially surprised by the amount of interest shown in my line class 0 / 1 rods and my carbon spigot ferrules which have been a long time in the making. There was quite some interest and discussion on the German fly-fishing forum prior to the fair thanks to a thread started by a fellow rod-maker, but from the general reaction I think a lot of skeptics have been converted. All in all it was a great experience and I most certainly look forward to participating in more fairs in the future.
